Patriot Guard

I asked the Patriot Guard to come in and ride in to the school for a Memorial Day assembly we were having at school this past Friday. I have been trying to get this set up and arranged since October so I have been really working hard at this. I was in charge of getting the Patriot Guard there and setting it up to have one of them talk.

I have to say from my end it was very cool. We had around 9 bikes and a police escort through town. The police officer was AWESOME and he was really funny. The Patriot Guard people seemed excited to be talking to kids.

They brought bracelets that say "I Support Our Troops" for all the kids to have. The Superintendent showed up and the newspaper showed up. I think the kids will remember it and some of the guys from the Patriot Guard said they would try to have more bikes next year. So they are thinking about next year and that is awesome. Hopefully we can get a ton more bikes but for our first year I think it was a great turnout.

Next year I just hope that the peeps in charge plan what is happening around the Patriot Guard a bit better. But Jenni took some pictures of the whole thing and I can't WAIT to see them. She is a professional photographer so the pictures should be amazing! Hopefully I will have some to share with everyone soon.

Happy Memorial Day all. Thank a Veteran for their service and remember those that have passed on.

Wolverine

So tonight I went with mom and we went to go see X-Men Origins - Wolverine. I have to tell you it was pretty good. I didn't like some of the changes I saw in the story line but I loved the characters and who they picked to play them.

Ryan Reynolds was really funny as Deadpool but I really felt they probably could have done more with him. But ah well.

Leiv was AMAZING as Sabertooth. He was kinda dark and I wasn't sure he would be able to do that but did he prove me wrong!!! He must have had a BLAST playing that character. Victor Creed aka Sabertooth was a great character.

And then there was Gambit. Mmmm mmmm mmmmm. Again, I think they could have done far more...FAR more with him but it was nice to see him and the guy that played him did a pretty good job. They got the eyes right, which I was a bit worried about. They did a great job with his powers and even with the attitude.

Overall I thought it was a great movie and will definately be purchasing this one when it comes out on DVD.

My suggestion...go see it. Great great movie!!
