Unsung heros

I just read an article about a set of ironworkers that work on the Golden Gate Bridge and how they sign up for a suicide watch and when someone is on their bridge they get up and go to try and talk the person down. They often complete the job without police help because they will often get there before police. They go out because they know the bridge, know safer paths to go and aren't afraid.

I would never have thought about a job like that and what a horrible job it must be but their survival rate for the jumpers is really pretty good. The article is a great one and definately worth reading.
